About Me
I was born and raised right here in Jasper, Georgia. I even went to elementary school right here at Jasper Elementary and was in the room right next door to my classroom in the first grade. I graduated from Pickens High School. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College. I have been teaching for 17 years. I taught 5th grade for seven years, and I am just beginning by 10th year teaching first. It has become my passion. I have a wonderful spouse, Steven, and two amazing boys, Dawson and Brayden. I love staying busy teaching and being a mom going to and from football and basketball practices with my boys. I have one sister, April, and she lives with her family in South Georgia. I love to travel when I can. I love the mountains and the beach. I love snow so I could live in Alaska I do believe! I love watching HGTV and dreaming of how I can remodel my home when I win the lottery, and also thinking of where I can buy a house in the Caribbean and a log cabin in Alaska when I retire! LOL I always say dream BIG, REALLY BIG!!! It makes you want to achieve those dreams even more.
